Si He Hotel is one of the subsidiary branches of Hong Kong Hotel Holding Ltd, managed by Singapore Hotel Management  Ltd.. The said place was the former residence of famous Chinese artist Mr. Mei Lan Fang . 10 minutes walking distance from WangFuJing, the travel and commercial center of Beijing. Si He is designed base on the original Chinese historical construction ? Si He Yuan, which is used to be the home of Chinese ancient imperial royalty. 1. A quiet haven in hutong beijing. 
We stayed here for three days in April and found it to be a peaceful and comfortable haven with friendly and helpful staff.; a refreshing change from the usual large, characterless 'chain' hotels. We had an 'executive' room which was large and airy with four- poster bed; some of the standard roms did look a little 'compact' if staying for more than a day or two. Although access by taxi can sometimes be difficult, depending on the willingness of the driver to venture down the narrow road, it is only a 5 minute walk from the main road, and a 10 minute walk from a subway station, from which the main tourist spots can be reached. Although the hutong streets are dark at night, at no time did we feel threatened when walking through them. Food is good and you are really made to feel welcome. Thoroughly recommended if you want to try and get near to a 'chinese' hotel experience (with free internet access!).

2. like at home:
-- lovely room with beautiful furniture -- traditional touches like Chinese specialty teas and teacups -- small personal hotel -- english speaking friendly staff -- close to subway (10 minute walk) -- non-touristy neighbour shops/restaurants close by.

3. I highly recommend this hotel. We loved this hotel! The courtyard was a beautiful place to enjoy a cup of tea and relax. It is a gem! lager, charming traditional courtyard hotel. the staff can speak English well. It's very convenient and an easy walk to many sightseeing such as forbidden city, wangfujing shopping center.

4. A lovely, friendly, small hotel in traditional courtyard style. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly and spoke very good english. They organised a car and driver to take me to the Great Wall as my time was very limited. The room decor was very elegant Chinese style and comfortable. Staying in a traditional Chinese hotel instead of a bemouth made the stay in Beijing special.
