“Great hotel that is located within reasonable distance to must-see attractions”
This hotel is great for the money and is located perfectly for a three day trip to Beijing.
Key Points:
-Large number of foreigners (including myself) during our stay
-The cheapest rooms are a bit small for two people but are great for one
-Inside of hotel is furnished nicely and the courtyard (no pond or leaves on bushes during our stay) is probably great during the summer
-We were able to see the Great Wall (awesome), Summer Palace (awesome), Forbidden City (sucked), Beihai Park (awesome), and Jingshan Park (great for an aerial shot of forbidden city). Location of this hotel provides relatively easy access via cab or subway to all of these locations (Great Wall withstanding). If you go to the Great Wall I recommend Mu Tian Yu but make sure to get a cab for the day (about 500-600 RMB). If you get a good cabbie then you can stop at one of the delicious restaurants in the mountains for brunch and enjoy the Wall with ease.

For you nightlife or cool street shopping people Hou Hai park is a must. It is only 15 minute walk from the hotel.  Overall, if you don't care about being pampered like royalty than this is the hotel for you
